Florida State should outlaw motorcycles on it's roads. Ride in Orlando Florida and you will find your self targeted by all other drivers & police officers. Drivers & police officers will follow you within 20 feet regardless of the speed. They don't seem to realize that the small mass of a motorcycle will allow it to stop in a third of the distance than their vehicle is capable. Some will say: "So what?". What if a child crosses the road? What if anything comes in the path of the bike? It is sure physical injuries for the rider. Stopping or slowing abruptly will cause the following vehicle to mercilessly crash into the bike (possibly killing the rider). I've hear too many of my fellow riders tell me how they were rear ended and sent to the hospital with permanent injuries. I have had to take off (thanks to the acceleration ability of the motorcycles I owned) after spotting an fast oncoming vehicle from my rear view mirrors. Not that I was ridding too slow or couldn't ride any faster. No, I was ridding at a matching speed of the other vehicles, and the oncoming traffic was way above the posted speed limit, and presented a danger to my survival. Why? Because getting hit in heavy traffic is a sure way to make you bounce from fender to fender until broken to pieces. So maybe, they should make motorcycles illegal in Orlando Florida.
